Ab ins Baltikum – Riga, here I come

Die Tage werden kürzer, die Temperaturen kälter – der Herbst ist in Deutschland angekommen.
Und ich? Ich bin soeben im Terminal 2 des Münchner Flughafens angekommen, das Fernweh hat mich voll und ganz gepackt und spüre die Vorfreude auf die bevorstehende Reise am ganzen Körper.

Wie die letzten Jahre auch, ist es daher für mich an der Zeit meine letzte des Jahres anzutreten.
Nach einem spannenden Citytrip in die tschechische Hauptstadt Prag im März, einer unvergesslich schönen Zeit in Singapur und einem exotischen Aufenthalt in Indonesien führt mich meine nächste Reise in den Norden Europas, genauer gesagt in die lettische Hauptstadt Riga.

Da ich Nordeuropa bisher noch nie bereist habe, freue ich mich ganz unvoreingenommen auf tolle und spannende Tage in Riga!

Was mich während meiner Reise erwarten wird erzähle ich euch täglich auf Instagram und Facebook – kommt mit mir nach Lettland 🙂

The days are getting shorter, the temperatures colder – the autumn has arrived in Germany.
And me? I have just arrived at Terminal 2 of the Munich Airport, the wanderlust has filled me completely and I feel the anticipation of the upcoming trip all over my body.

Like the last few years, this is the perfect time for my last trip of the year.
After an exciting citytrip to the Czech capital Prague in March, an unforgettable time in Singapore and an exotic stay in Indonesia, my next trip leads me to the Latvian capital Riga.

Since I´ve never traveled to Northern Europe so far, I am looking forward to great and exciting days in Riga!

Ich mag, nein – ich liebe es!
Viele empfinden am Flughafen Stress, Zeitdruck und wollen so schnell wie möglich ins Flugzeug und einfach nur weg.
Das möchte ich natürlich auch, doch ich liebe einfach die gesamte Atmosphäre hier am Flughafen!
Geschäftiges Treiben, verschiedene Nationalitäten, die Flugzeuge vor Augen und der omnipräsente Gedanke an die bevorstehende Reise – für mich eines der schönsten Orte überhaupt..!

Daher war ich auch heute schon zwei Stunden vor Abflug hier am Münchner Flughafen, habe den Koffer aufgegeben und schlendere jetzt noch durch die vielen Shops des Terminal 2.

Nachdem ich mich bereits im Freien durch den „Duft“ des Kerosin in Urlaubsstimmung habe versetzen lassen, halte ich nun meinen Coffee to-go in der Hand und meine Aufmerksamkeit gilt hier am Gate XX dem kleinen Flugzeug Avroliner RJ 100, das mich gleich nach Zürich bringen wird.
In gut 60 Minuten werden mich die vier Turbinen sicher in die Eidgenossenschaft fliegen, von wo aus es 1,5 Stunden später weitergehen wird. Weiter in Richtung Süden. Weiter nach Valencia.

„Das Boarding beginnt“ höre ich nun aus den Lautsprechern.
Da mein Kaffee mittlerweile auch leer geschlürft ist, kann es los gehen.

Na dann, auf geht´s – viva Espana!

I like it, no – I love it!

Many people don´t like the atmosphere at the airport, have time pressure and want to get away as fast as possible.
I want to go abroad, as well. But I just love the entire atmosphere at the airport!
Bustling activities, different nationalities, the planes in sight and the omnipresent thought of the upcoming trip – for me definitely one of the most beautiful places to be..!

Because of that, I´m already here for two hours, gave up my luggage and now I´m strolling through the different shops at the Terminal 2.

After I´ve put myself outdoors to smell the „scent“ of kerosene and get in the holiday mood, I´m now holding my coffee-to-go at gate XX and pay attention to the tiny aircraft Avroliner RJ 100, which will bring me to Zurich within one hour.
1,5 hours later the trip will continuing southwards to Valencia.

The speakers are telling me that now the boarding begins.
In the meantime my coffee is empty – so the trip may begin.

Let´s go – viva Espana!

Wow, die Zeit scheint verflogen!

Ein Jahr ist es nun her, als ich mich dazu entschloss Picturetravelling zu gründen.
In den vergangenen 365 Tagen ist viel passiert:

Ich war auf 3 aufregenden Reisen in Athen, den Vereinigten Arabischen Emiraten und in Warschau.
Dabei habe ich faszinierende Städte, tolle Menschen und verschiedene Eindrücke sammeln können, die ich nicht missen möchte!

Darüber hinaus habe ich die Reiseberichte meiner vergangenen 7 Reisen veröffentlicht.
Somit sind bis zum heutigen Tage 16 Reiseberichte online – jeweils in deutsch und englisch.

Picturetravelling ist zudem auf Facebook, Twitter und Instagram vertreten – mit über 1450 Follower!
Absolut fantastisch – VIELEN DANK AN EUCH ALLE !!!!!!!

Die Planungen für das kommende Jahr sind schon angelaufen und so Recht kann ich mich noch nicht entscheiden wo es hingehen soll – nach Indien, Thailand, die USA oder doch ganz wo anders?
Freue mich über jegliche Tipps und Vorschläge Eurerseits! 🙂

Aber jetzt erstmal vielen, vielen Dank an jeden einzelnen Leser, für jede Mail, jeden Kommentar und jegliche Unterstützung die ich zahlreich erhalten habe!
Ich freue mich jedes Mal, wenn ich Rückmeldung von Euch erhalte und hoffe auch in Zukunft auf zahlreiche Zuschriften 🙂

Wow, the time has passed so fast!

One year ago I decided to start Picturetravelling.
A lot has happened in the last 365 days:

I had 3 fantastic journeys to Athens, the United Arab Emirates and Warsaw.
During these trips I could gather fascinating impressions of thrilling cities, great people and unique moments that I don´t want to miss!

In addition, I published the travel reports of my past 7 trips.
Thus, today 16 travel reports are ready to be read – both in German and English.

Picturetravelling is also represented on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram – with more than 1450 Followers!
Absolutely fantastic – THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO ALL OF YOU !!!!!!!

The plans for the journeys in 2016 have already started and a many destinations are in my mind.
India, Thailand, USA? Or somewhere else? Because of that, I appreciate any advice and suggestions 🙂

For now, thank you so much for every reader, every Mail, every comment and every support I ´ve received numerous!
I´m delighted every time I get feedback from you and hopefully that continues in the future 🙂
