Hotel The Platinum

To speak about a central location in such a large and sprawling city like Muscat is difficult.
Netherless, the choice of this hotel was good! Both the airport, the Grand Mosque and the old town with the Mutrah Souk are easy to reach by taxi.
Moreover, I could easily walk to the big shopping Malls „Avenues Mall“ and „Muscat Grand Mall“ in about 15-20 minutes.

Despite the arrival in Muscat in the early morning, I could already move into the room after the fast and smooth Check-in – very good!

The room, in my case the Royal Suite „Maharaja“, was divided into a living area with sofa and flat-screen TV, a bedroom with a really huge bed and another TV and a separate dressing room.
From the dressing, I could reach the spacious bathroom, which was equipped with walk-in rainforest shower, a nice sink and a bathtub with whirlpool function, over which another TV was attached.
Both the room service, as well as the cleanliness of the room and the entire hotel was absolutely spotless.

On the roof of the hotel, there is the pool. This area was clean as well, the water had a comfortable temperature (at least as I used it at 8 am) and offered a fantastic view over the „white city“ Muscat.

The breakfast was offered in the beautiful and spacious restaurant. A cook prepared fresh omelet, the staff were attentive and the dishes themselves were all very good.
